Dan K. Buchly presently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Companies, LLC, a Texas corporation formed to provide its clients with a full range of real estate investment services.

Mr. Buchly earned his undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 1990. Upon graduating from New Mexico State University, Mr. Buchly joined Bellamah Community Development (BCD), a prominent home building and land development company headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During the seven years that he was with BCD, Mr. Buchly supervised contract management of 16 mixed-use developments comprising 10,000 acres of land and the development of over 3,000 residential lots in the states of Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. In 1986, Mr. Buchly assisted in the formation of a real estate company which purchased and developed nearly 6,000 acres of land in Texas and Tennessee.

After obtaining his MBA from Texas A&M University, Mr. Buchly joined The Sovereign Corporation in Waco, Texas as Business Development Manager, where he assisted in the management and financial reporting of approximately 4,100 apartment units located in eight states. He subsequently came to The Texas A&M University System in December of 1991 as a Senior Real Estate Analyst and was appointed to the position of Director in September, 1993. Over the next 16 years Mr. Buchly was elevated to the position of Associate Vice Chancellor for Real Estate. Throughout his career with the A&M System, Mr. Buchly has provided oversight control of the A&M System’s 55,000 surface acres and 54,000 mineral acres. He has negotiated the sale of over 25,000 acres of land, leased over 5,000 mineral acres for oil and gas production and negotiated the lease of more than 1 million square feet of office and laboratory space.

Mr. Buchly is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Texas. He is a member of the Bryan-College Station Regional Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the Bryan-College Station Home Builders Association, the Texas Association of Builders, and the National Association of Home Builders. He has served as President of the Ushers’ Club at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chancellor for the Knights of Columbus - Council 11759, Assistant Scout Master for Troop 976 in Bryan, and Vice President and incorporating officer of the Tiffany Park Homeowners Association in Bryan.

Mr. Buchly resides in Bryan, Texas with his wife, Pam. He has four children, Michael, Jennifer, Ashley and Stephen.
